City of Blankenberge

The old fishing harbour has been rebuilt into a nice and modern marina, where life is good all year round.

Thanks to the attractive quay and the proximity to the city centre, the beach and the dunes, this marina is unique along the belgian coast.

Around as well as in the modern marina the visitors can find many witnesses of the maritime past of Blankenberge. During the past decades the local authorities of Blankenberge have made many efforts for further development in this field. With the Maritime Patrimony project the town authorities want to introduce the public to a number of these witnesses. Maybe the visitor will want to learn more about the interesting maritime history of Blankenberge after this introduction.

At the same time, the Maritime Heritage project honours the rich, but often times tough, fishing past of Blankenberge.
