Public transportation company De Lijn

The ’125 years of Coastal Tram’ project meant to highlight the importance of the Coastal Tram for the development and the viability of the Belgian coast, in the past, the present and the future. One of the events organised to show this was the exhibition Tram in Sight at the venetian galleries in Ostend. For this exhibition several interviews were conducted with travellers and people that work at De Lijn.

Regie voor Maritiem Transport

Regie voor Maritiem Transport was the Belgian state-owned ferry service and operated ferries on the Ostend-Dover route under the name Oostende Lines. Due to the opening of the Channel Tunnel in 1994 the RMT lost a lot of its customers. Trains offered a faster way to cross the Channel. As a result, after more than 150 years the RMT ceased to exist.
