Lifeguards

For the safety of bathers lifeguards are crucial. They know the hidden dangers, can warn people who drift off and intervene when necessary. Over the past decades the role and position of lifeguards has changed a lot. With more and more people swimming in the sea, the lifeguards had to become better at swimming to be able to keep bathers safe. International and national regulations became more strict and demanding on what the lifeguard should be able to do.
